Every year, the Spokane Falls Community College Graphic Design program holds a graduation portfolio show for the graduating class. During this event, students showcase the portfolios they have built throughout the two-year program. The event attracts graphic designers from around town To organize the event, the students are divided into groups. Each group is responsible for creating a concept for the graduation show and developing it into a brand. These concepts are then presented to a panel of graphic design judges from Spokane. In my initial group, I served as the project manager. Together with my classmates, we devised a concept based on 3D anaglyphs, featuring our school mascot, Skitch the Bigfoot, and portraying a narrative of what attendees can expect at the event. Afterwards, we presented our concept to the panel of judges, who ultimately selected it as the winning design. Maintaining my role as the project manager, I took charge of overseeing the completion of the concept. I collaborated closely with my fellow students, providing guidance and ensuring that our vision was fully realized for the event.
To effectively convey the story of the event, I created a series of wordmarks. These include "Drink Dine & Design," "Designers Developers Dreamers," and "Discover Dedicated Design."
Posters
Posters
We utilized these wordmarks as a source of inspiration for various illustrations and collateral materials. In particular, we designed a set of posters featuring each wordmark. The "Drink Dine & Design" wordmark served as the catalyst for our illustrator, Hannah, who created a captivating series of illustrations that embodied its essence.
Mailers
Mailers
We employed variable data printing to personalize a custom mailer for each recipient. A total of eight designs were created, with six of them featuring the illustrations we had developed and the remaining two utilizing the icon background from our posters. To add a personal touch, the backside of each mailer was customized with the recipient's name and a tailored message. This approach aimed to create a more engaging and personalized experience for the recipients, further enhancing the overall promotional impact of our campaign.

Booklet
In our efforts to build anticipation and raise awareness about the event, we designed a variable data booklet to serve as invitations for the graphic design agencies in our town. This booklet showcased the diverse range of illustrations that we had created, adding an extra layer of visual appeal to capture their attention and interest.

Merchandise
In addition to our previous promotional efforts, we expanded our campaign by creating a series of eye-catching deliverables. Among them were two unique t-shirt designs, aluminum pins, and a collection of vibrant stickers. These additional items were crafted to further amplify the event's visibility and generate excitement among attendees.
